I have the following numbers on the Mantel of the engine. Can somebody help me to decode this?

14 12 78 ist das Schleifdatum

Über dem Kerzenloch (auf dem Foto nicht sichtbar) sollte das Gießdatum eingegossen sein

Zu den anderen Zahlen (22, E, 25, 44) kann ich nichts sagen.

Die unteren Schlagzahlen sind interne Codes, die so ohne weiteres nicht genauer definierbar sind.

Manche geben wohl an wo die Dinger geschliffen wurden bzw. hergestellt (gegossen) und die meisten sind wohl noch von der Qualitätskontrolle. Ist insgesamt aber eigentlich zweitrangig. Das Guß- und Schleifdatum sind die Zahlen die für uns am wichtigsten sind und wohl auch die einzigsten mit denen wir was anfangen können.

Translation:

The bottom numbers are internal codes. They are not redily decipherable. Some seem to indicate, where the parts have been grinded or manufactured (casted). And most of them seem to be tagged by quality control. Alttogether this is of minor importance. The casting and grinding date are the numbers relevant for us and probably the only ones that mean something for our purposes.

Vielen Dank für die Antworten. Das benötigte Datum ist 72.10 und 73.10 für die Trochoids, gibt es ein Jahr Unterschied. Für das Schleifen Datum gibt es nur einen Tag Unterschied.
